I’ve lived in Brooklyn for almost 20 years but was born and raised in Detroit.

In 1998, at age 15, I became a vegetarian. It all started with an issue of The Source magazine that featured artists who didn’t eat meat. Everyone from Erykah Badu (who I adored) to KRS-One, Common and RZA from Wu-Tang were interviewed. They each shared what inspired them to make this lifestyle change and provided a recipe. That article changed the trajectory of my life. Fast forward two decades, I’m now a womb wellness & holistic health coach.

Finding ways to budget while in college forced me to become creative with my food. There were very few vegan restaurants back then and health food stores were super expensive. It was during that time that I discovered farmer’s markets and food co-ops that allowed my dollar to stretch without compromising on quality.

My passion for holistic healing was also the catalyst in my decision to have a home birth with a midwife, to breastfeed my son for the first 18 months of his life and make a commitment to help others wishing to do the same.

I love supporting other women on their wellness journeys and teaching them how to use their food & herbs as medicine to holistically address reproductive issues & restore hormonal balance. I am also a full spectrum doula & certified yoni steam practitioner and can help you prepare to your body to conceive, sustain a healthy pregnancy, and recover during the postpartum period.
